It was not a busy night to start with. After serving a customer, I found a wallet left behind on the bar top bench. I asked around but no luck to find the owners. There are money and credit cards in the wallet. I told my supervisor. She said you could put it away until the customer came back. I guess this guy must be jumping up and down. If he didn’t come, that would be a huge tips for us: the whole wallet. There was another generous customer came tonight. Every time he bought beer, he always gave me tips. They are not much but it showed he appreciated our hard work. But I come across some stingy customers now and again. One customer came to the counter and asked me to give him 10 cents discount simply he didn’t want to break a big note.I said to him I have to use my own money then he went away. Going back to the customer who lost his wallet, he finally came and had his wallet back with a big smile but no tips. Actually even he gave me tips I can not put them in my wallet, my supervisor normally will collect them and buy lotto for the team but we never win. I would rather share the tips if possible.
